Crescendo™ iNID

Entone’s Crescendo iNID is an all-weather residential gateway that consolidates key elements of a voice, video and data service into one compact device. With Crescendo, service operators will be able to combine the functions of a traditional NID with the features of the world’s most advanced in-home residential gateway.

Coupled with Entone’s family of IPTV set-top boxes and gateways, Crescendo dramatically reduces the cost for operators to install, provision, manage, and support residential triple-play bundled services.

Crescendo is a high-speed IP gateway connectivity device that integrates an ADSL2+, VDSL2 or GPON wide area interface, supports HPNA over a home’s existing coax or phone lines, and Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) over existing in-home coax networks. It leverages these technologies to provide over 100Mb/s of in-home IP connectivity, thus enabling it to support such services as IPTV, multi-room DVR, VOD and high-speed Internet.

Plus, Crescendo includes IP software for a wide array of IP-layer services such as; DHCP home device management, network address translation (NAT), firewall monitoring, and subscriber self-provisioning.

Crescendo is designed for non-intrusive outdoor installation and allows operators to install and service it without entering the subscriber’s premises. Entone’s Crescendo iNID becomes part of the service provider’s broadband network, which removes the burden of maintenance from the subscriber.

The service provider is able to provide web-based remote monitoring servicing and diagnostics, which minimizes the intrusive nature and high-cost of sending out a technician.

Since the electronics are housed in a modular cover, field upgrades can be completed without removing the base unit or rewiring.
