Executive Team

Entone’s executive team consists of seasoned professionals who have dedicated their careers to broadband multimedia and telecommunications services. The founding members initially worked together to launch the world’s first Telco IP video service.

Steve McKay
Steve McKay, Chief Executive Officer

Steve has focused his career on broadband multimedia services for the communications industry for nearly twenty years. Prior to joining Entone, Steve was the CEO of Ion Global, a pan-Asian systems integrator. Under his direction, Ion Global grew from 50 people in 1 country to over 1000 people in 10 countries. As part of a merger, the company went public on NASDAQ and later completed a $400M+ secondary offering. Steve also spent more than 12 years with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). While at Accenture, Steve worked with some of the world's leading CATV operators and telcos on their broadband and interactive television strategies and deployments. Steve has sat on more than 20 company boards. He received his MBA with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

 

Mark Evensen
Mark Evensen, Vice President of Product Development

Mark is a true pioneer in personal television services, having focused on the area for more than fifteen years. Before co-founding Entone, Mark was General Manager of Technology Development at Cable & Wireless Hongkong Telecom and lead architect for their interactive television and VOD service. Under Mark's direction, C&W HKT deployed the world's first commercial VOD service of scale. Prior to that he consulted on issues of network design and software engineering to several multinational communications providers, including Bell Atlantic Video Services. Mark was also Director of Interactive Applications Development at TV Answer, one of the world's first providers of personal television services. Mark holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Colorado.

 

Mike Tang
Mike Tang, Vice President of Engineering

Mike has been a consultant to the communications industry for more than ten years. Before joining Entone, Mike was a Consultant with Accenture where he was part of the core software development team on multiple interactive television and video on demand service deployment projects. In his five years with Entone, Mike has overseen the design and development of multiple generations of the company's StreamLiner VOD server software architecture. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

 

Ian Jefferson
Ian Jefferson, Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Jefferson has spent nearly 20 years focused on broadband video solutions in both the cable and telecommunications industries with considerable time working in N. America, Europe, and Asia. He brings a unique blend of deep industry domain knowledge, extensive international experience, and successful sales production in both the cable and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Entone, Ian held senior sales positions at NYNEX, DIVA, and Terayon. Ian is a great addition to the Entone organization and adds value in a number of areas. He has worked with all major US MSOs, many of Entone's customers and prospects internationally, and was involved in the very early stages of telco video deployments. This unique combination is a tremendous asset for both Entone and its customers.

 

Gerard Pearce
Gerard Pearce, Vice President of Sales

Gerry has spent nearly 30 years in the telecommunications industry and nearly a decade of sales leadership experience in telco video solutions, Gerry brings highly targeted IPTV experience to his new role at Entone. Prior to joining Entone, Gerry was previously the Senior Director of Sales at Motorola/NextLevel where he was responsible for the IOC and municipality/utility markets. Before NextLevel, Gerry was a founding partner and Vice President of Sales for Network Technology Solutions, an engineering firm specializing in telecommunications installations. Before that, Gerry held senior positions at Western Electric and AT&T. Gerry holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Manhattan College and an M.S. degree in Telecommunications and Computing Management from Polytechnic University.
