Position:  Field Support Software Engineer

Location:  Hong Kong



Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out system integration with our solution partner systems such as IPTV middleware and digital rights management (DRM)

  • Carrying out problem trouble shooting and resolution

  • Providing product and system support to our clients and Entone's customer support organization

  • Providing technical support to our clients and partners for product evaluation, trial and deployment

  • Preparing system and user documentation

  • Managing tender bidding and providing technical sales support

  • Managing process and work flow improvement and liaising with software engineering team to ensure timeliness and quality deployment of Entone's CPE products


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • College/University degree in CS/EE/IE/CE or equivalent

  • 1-3 yrs work experience

  • Sound knowledge in Windows, Solaris, Linux and RTOS

  • Sound knowledge in computer networking, internet and IP technologies

  • Familiar with C/C++, Java, web technologies (HTML/CSS/ECMAScript) and shell script programming

  • Possession of experiences on embedded devices and video compression/streaming technologies (i.e. MPEG, DVB, CAS, DRM etc.) is a plus

  • Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills
